Two men arrested for sexually assaulting a minor in care in San Sebastián

The Ertzaintza (Basque National Police) arrested two men on Tuesday accused of sexually assaulting a minor during the early hours of the morning on Mount Ulía in San Sebastián, according to sources from the Basque Department of Security and the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa.

In a statement, the provincial institution has "strongly" condemned the assault suffered by the minor and has publicly expressed its full support and solidarity with the victim and those close to her.

Both the judicial proceedings and the corresponding police investigation are already underway, so the Provincial Council has called for respect so that the Ertzaintza (Basque Country) can carry out its work with "rigor and responsibility."

According to the report, the corresponding complaint was filed from the outset, and all necessary measures were taken by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, with the aim of guaranteeing the "protection, care, and comprehensive monitoring of the minor, a priority of the public institution."

According to Diario Vasco , two other men are being investigated for the same incident, which allegedly occurred in the mountain's parking lot. The victim is a minor under the care of the Provincial Council.
