In fulfillment of his commitment to ensuring the economic well-being of families in southern Sonora, as well as a safe and efficient transportation system, Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño distributed 1,876 cards with support from the Economic Strengthening for Vulnerable Families program, as well as rehabilitated 10 roads, 50 public transportation units, and inaugurated the operations of Line 16 in Ciudad Obregón.

During an intensive working tour of the southern part of the state and in response to the needs of the population in this sector, the Sonoran governor, accompanied by the mayor of Ciudad Obregón, Javier Lamarque Cano, and the Secretary of Welfare in Sonora, Fernando Rojo de la Vega, explained that the Economic Strengthening Program will provide 2,500 pesos every two months during the 2025 fiscal year to families in the municipalities of Cajeme, Bácum, and San Ignacio Río Muerto.

"I know it won't solve all their needs, but I'm sure it will help them pay for electricity, water, basic food supplies, some medicine, and any other necessities they may have," Governor Durazo emphasized.

As part of his agenda in Ciudad Obregón, the state chief executive handed over the following renovated roads , with an investment of more than 68 million pesos: Tehuantepec between Náinari and Tetabiate; CTM between Paseo Miravalle and Calle 10; Topacio between Ejército Nacional and Esmeralda Oriente; Turquesa between Ejército Nacional and Esmeralda Oriente; and Salvatierra between Norman Borlaug.

As well as Manuel de Jesús Clouthier Street between Norman Borlaug and Coahuila Street; Manuel de Jesús Clouthier Street between Tabasco and Coahuila Street; Ejército Nacional Street between Michoacán and Norman Borlaug Street; CTM Street between Norman Borlaug and Paseo Miravalle Street; Chihuahua Street between Náinari and Cajeme Street; and Rodolfo Elías Calles Street.

The state leader delivered 20 public transport units for Route 10, and 30 buses for Lines 3, 7, and 8, with the goal of providing more efficient service to more than 64,000 people, 61,000 of whom are students at 307 schools in 148 neighborhoods, as well as seven hospitals and 11 health clinics.

In addition, Durazo Montaño launched Route 16 with 10 trucks that will connect the north with the south and vice versa, providing coverage to the Family Medicine Unit 66, the South Medical Center and the IMSS-Bienestar Hospital , benefiting more than 31 thousand students in 55 neighborhoods.
