Lyricist Alan Bergman , known for songs such as "The Windmills of Your Mind" and "The Way We Were," died at the age of 99 at his home in Los Angeles, his daughter told The Hollywood Reporter on Friday. Julie Bergman Sender told the publication that he died Thursday of natural causes.
The author, along with his wife, Marilyn Bergman , formed one of the most recognized duos in film and television music, winner of an Oscar, several Grammys, and an Emmy for their prolific career as lyricists. Marilyn Bergman died in January 2022 of respiratory failure at the age of 93.

Her collaboration with Streisand was extensive: they both met her in Brooklyn and the singer performed several of her songs , such as 'You Don't Bring Me Flowers' , 'On Rainy Afternoons' and 'After the Rain' .
