An entire neighborhood reports that it was defrauded because they were sold public land in Junín.

Around thirty families purchased land in the Mundo Nuevo district and discovered it belonged to the state. Seven houses have already been built.

Thirty families who purchased plots of land in a private subdivision located in Mundo Nuevo, Junín , are unable to determine their rights to the land because it belongs to the state. Nineteen families have already filed criminal charges against the person who carried out the sale.

“All the families who have already moved here are hooked up to the same meter because they refuse to install individual meters because this land belongs to the State ,” said Viviana, one of the affected neighbors and complainants, who claims that the 7 families who already live there are desperate because of the situation since they do not have regular electricity or municipal services, since for the municipality those 30 lots are actually one and are fiscal land.

According to reports, the sale of the lots began online in 2019. The person offering them is a local resident who lives next to this "subdivision" and claims to have the right to the land.

An entire neighborhood says it was defrauded because it was sold public land in Mundo Nuevo, Junín.

Viviana and her family settled in a pre-molded house in 2022, trying to avoid rental costs and be able to invest in their own space, but already suspecting that the deed process for those lots was going to be difficult, despite the seller's assurances that they just needed to be patient, that that moment would come sooner rather than later.

The confrontation between families and vendors became more heated when they all gathered at Junín City Hall.

There, the situation became clear, but increasingly far from resolved, as the municipality confirmed that these lands belong to the government and that the situation must be resolved by the courts, since the municipality has no authority over the land, nor the ability to mediate between the parties, much less the authority to decide what should be done.

"Those of us who already live here are adrift, in a desperate situation," said Viviana, who also added that "most of us have already filed a criminal complaint about the situation, but there are other families who say they have to keep waiting."
