Apple's best kept secret was revealed 14 years after Steve Jobs' death

Steve Jobs was one of the most prominent men in technology, his inventions led to Apple being one of the most recognized companies worldwide today . However, the company's co-founder Steve Wozniak revealed one of the best kept secrets.
Within the history of the technology company, it is worth noting that in 1971, Jobs, then just 16 years old, met Steve Wozniak, 21 years old, thanks to a mutual friend named Bill Fernandez.
They later became great friends and created their first product, the Apple I in 1976. Behind the growth story of the technology company lies a myth, which is that it was born in a small garage of a house located at 2066 Crist Drive in Los Altos, California.

In the history of this garage, it is said that it belonged to Steve Jobs and, according to Apple legend, it was the scene of the first invention of the Apple company with its first computer.
In 2013, the Los Altos City Council designated it as a historic property because "significant events had occurred there" and a virtual model was created so that people could visit it.
This story, although touching, turned out to be a myth. Steve Wozniak, co-founder of the company, revealed that no Apple devices were manufactured in the company.
He also stressed that although Jobs lived there and the house served as a venue for his creative meetings, it was not a workshop. "The garage thing is a bit of a myth, since we didn't actually design the Apple I in the garage, we didn't create circuit boards and we didn't do any prototyping or any kind of manufacturing in it ," he told ING.

Although he stressed that the house had "an important value in the birth of Apple" , it was only a space where these two friends chatted.
"When you don't have money, you have to work from home," he added, "but no, that's not where the Apple I was made." He also revealed that the first design estimate sparked a bit of discussion.
" I wanted everyone to be able to build their own computer for $300, but Steve wasn't interested. He wanted to build a computer for $20 and sell it for $30," he concluded.
