The Film Academy regulates the use of artificial intelligence at the Goya Awards.

The Board of Directors of the Film Academy has approved the rules for the 40th edition of the Goya Awards , which regulate the use of artificial intelligence and allow an executive producer to aspire to the Best Film category alongside the producers, provided they have had a significant participation in the development of the work, among other modifications.
Only works whose creation and artistic and technical development are led by identifiable individuals will be eligible for the Goya Awards, according to the Academy.
The use of artificial intelligence systems will be permitted only as a support tool in the various stages of the work's development, provided that it does not replace human authorship and that fundamental elements of the film are not generated without direct supervision and substantial creative intervention by responsible individuals.
Among the new features is that in addition to the producers, an executive producer may also be nominated for the Best Picture category, provided that they have played a significant role in the development of the work.
On the other hand, in the Art Direction category, the position of decorator is accepted in cases where no production designer or art director is accredited.
For this 40th edition, a maximum of four people are registered per category, except in cases where the corresponding specific rules indicate a lower number or other specific limitation.
Furthermore, the rules stipulate that only one person from each award-winning category may act as the group's spokesperson to give the acceptance speech at the gala.
This person must be designated in advance and communicated to the Academy in due time. The acceptance speech may not exceed one minute in length. The Board of Directors may consider specific cases in exceptional circumstances.
A series of requirements are also established to qualify as a short film festival for the Goya Awards. The minimum requirements for inclusion on the list of national festivals are as follows: prizes with a cash endowment and/or selection payments, a minimum history of eight years , and a registration fee of no more than 15 euros for any of its phases.
The rules also emphasize that any categories not filled out by the production company will be left blank , meaning the film will not be eligible.
