Young Puerto Rican woman claims that Argentine ice cream is better than Italian ice cream.

Some time ago, a Puerto Rican influencer known on social media as Sofía shared a video on TikTok in which she claimed that “Argentina has the best ice cream in the world.”

According to the young woman's post, the variety of flavors in this frozen dessert wasn't something she enjoyed before moving, as the preparations aren't as delicious in her home country.

"I went to try Italian gelato, and not even Italian gelato can compete with Argentine ice cream," the woman said at the beginning of the clip, emphasizing that it's not a topic they can easily debate with her, because she believes she's right.

She also explained that for much of her childhood she only ate flavors like dark and white chocolate, but that her love for this frozen treat increased after arriving in the South American country.

"I've been obsessed with ice cream for two weeks," Sofía added in the recording, in which she also clarified that her love of pistachios didn't come about because of a new trend on social media, but rather it's something she hadn't eaten since she was a child.

A few minutes later, the content creator uncovered the white jar the ice cream shop manager had packaged the product in, revealing that the dessert contained pieces of the nut and some sort of sauce.

"Let's talk about textures. This has pistachio cream, ice cream, and a crumble," the Puerto Rican emphasized at the end of the clip. She also mentioned that the only thing she wanted to achieve with her post was to share with someone her obsession with the dish sold in Argentina.

Once the young woman posted the video on social media, several people pointed out that ice cream shops in the South American country were very different from others, because the dessert is offered in kilograms and there are always shops open.

“Argentine ice cream is supreme. Very few things in the world are as well-made as Argentinian ice cream,” one internet user noted in the comments section of the TikTok platform.

Others, meanwhile, confessed that when they saw the post, they didn't believe what Sofia was saying, but after trying the dessert, they felt compelled to agree with her.
