SIX, owner of BME, signs Spaniard Rafael Moral from HSBC.

Six , the Swiss parent company of Bolsas y Mercados Españoles ( BME ), has appointed Spaniard Rafael Moral as head of its Securities Services business. He previously held the position of Global Director of Securities Services for HSBC , where he led the regional strategy and coordination of the bank's business in all local markets.
Previously, Moral held various executive positions at HSBC in Hong Kong and London , including Head of Securities Services for Europe and also for Asia-Pacific and the MENA region. Prior to joining HSBC , he worked for over a decade in various roles at Deutsche Bank in Germany, the United States, and Singapore.
Moral's appointment to Six, where he will also become a member of the Swiss company's Executive Committee, will take effect on June 1. He will succeed José Manuel Ortiz , who will return to his previous role as Head of Clearing and Repos Operations after serving as interim head of the Securities Services business.
The company that operates the Spanish stock exchange has announced in a statement other changes to its executive committee approved by its board of directors.
Thus, Tomas Kindler will also assume the position of head of Six's Exchange business, which he previously held on an interim basis, from June 1st. He will also be appointed to the Executive Committee.
Kindler previously served as Head of Operations for Exchanges , where he had overall responsibility for business management, operations and exchange across all of Six 's exchanges, and as Head of x-clear, among other senior roles.

He joined Six in 2011 and previously held various senior roles in the field of financial market infrastructure. Thomas Kindler is a dual Swiss-German citizen and holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in Durham, USA, and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Engineering from the Hamburg University of Technology.
Fabienne-Anne Rehulka has assumed the role of General Counsel of Six and was appointed a full member of the Executive Committee, effective April 1, 2025. Fabienne joined Six in June 2024. She has more than 20 years of legal and regulatory experience.
Bjorn Sibbern , CEO of Six, emphasized that with all these appointments, the company will have a "strong and balanced Executive Committee to drive Six into the future."
