She goes to get her tubes tied and ends up with a leg amputated and a heart transplant.

On many occasions, women choose to have their tubes tied, either for medical reasons or by personal choice. This was the case for Alison Calfunao, a 30-year-old woman whose procedure took a tragic turn after undergoing surgery.
What began as a planned intervention ended up becoming an ordeal. After being admitted to the San Lucas Clinic in Neuquén, Argentina, for surgery, the patient suffered serious complications during her hospital stay.

"They just told me I'd suffered a cardiac arrest. The gynecologist explained that he'd done his job, but they wouldn't let me go down to see my son-in-law because something was happening upstairs," she said.
Doctors later discovered that Alison had developed a thrombosis in one of her lower extremities, and the infection was rapidly spreading to other parts of her body. To prevent further organ damage, specialists decided to amputate her leg.
Her condition became critical, so she was transferred several times: she started at the clinic where she was initially operated on, then she was taken to the San Agustín medical center, and later to the Pasteur clinic, where She was connected to an ECMO system with the intention of transferring her to the Italian Hospital.
Despite the difficulties, he underwent a heart transplant on June 17, to which his body responded favorably. His mother celebrated the positive reaction, saying:
“Her heart was broken, her leg was amputated, her body and life changed forever. But on June 17, Alison came back to life.”
However, his recovery has been extremely slow and complex. In addition to the physical damage, he now faces significant emotional consequences. His mother explained:
"During the night, he has many panic attacks because 'he feels like his leg is being cut off.' He's like a baby; his recovery is slow; he needs to gain weight to be able to move properly."
The situation has also deeply affected her children, who are going through difficult times without their mother's usual presence:
“The little ones are also suffering without their mother because she was such a mother,” her mother said.
On the other hand, the family denounced the lack of communication and responsibility on the part of the San Lucas Clinic, since up to now They have not received any explanation or apology from the medical center.
“We haven't received a single word from the San Lucas Clinic, no calls, no apologies, no explanations, no expression of solidarity, no accountability. Nothing. The silence hurts as much as the wound.”
A formal complaint has now been filed, and the relevant authorities have begun an investigation to clarify what happened. The family demands to know what really happened in the operating room and why their loved one ended up in such serious condition.
“I want them to explain to me what they did to Alison in that operating room with those doctors… I want to know why Alison ended up without her heart and without a leg,” her mother demanded, continuing to demand justice and a clear answer about what happened at the hospital where her daughter placed her trust and ended up with a completely transformed future.
