Cerdán still refuses to resign his seat, and Podemos proposes a commission of inquiry.

Podemos has proposed creating a commission of inquiry in Congress into the Koldo case, considering the explanations provided by Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez insufficient following the resignation of Santos Cerdán as Secretary of Organization of the PSOE.
Former PSOE Organization Secretary Santos Cerdán has yet to register his resignation as a member of Congress, and he is not expected to do so this weekend. The online registration process is only open until 2:00 p.m., and this process can be done in person or by proxy.
Parliamentary sources have confirmed to EFE that Cerdán has not yet taken the step he announced on Thursday in the letter in which he also announced his resignation as Secretary of Organization of the PSOE , after the publication of a report by the Central Operative Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard that implicated him in the Koldo case .
According to the report, he allegedly managed commissions in public works contracts awarded to former minister José Luis Ábalos and his former advisor Koldo García .
If he ultimately goes to the Congressional registry on Monday to resign his seat, the Chamber's Board could review his petition on Tuesday and send it to the Electoral Board , which would then begin the process of replacing him.
Speaking at Congress, which is holding a second open day, Podemos MP Javier Sánchez stated that it would be "inexplicable" if he did not ultimately leave his seat and move to the mixed group , where Ábalos, his predecessor as PSOE Organization Secretary, is currently based.
The party demanded that the former Minister of Transport resign his seat when he was implicated in the Koldo case, but he decided to remain in Congress and receive special jurisdiction, joining the mixed group. Podemos also joined the mixed group when it left Sumar.
For Javier Sánchez, Cerdán's refusal to leave his seat "would add even more shame to everything we're seeing" (...) "it seems that he has to protect himself from something and that surely, in his capacity as a member of parliament, we don't know this weekend if he needs to seek legal advice or if he's pursuing other types of strategies," he noted.

Podemos MP Javier Sánchez Serna has announced the registration of this initiative , with which the Podemos party seeks to have the head of the Executive provide "full explanations in Congress." They also ask the PSOE secretary general to " clarify all responsibilities and clarify whether the corruption scheme reached the government structure."
" Pedro Sánchez hasn't provided all the explanations he should have , and above all, he hasn't made a public commitment to prevent this from happening again and to the PSOE returning every last euro stolen from these illegal commissions," the Podemos deputy stressed in statements to reporters from Congress, which was holding an open day.
The secretary general of the European People's Party (EPP) and PP MEP, Dolors Montserrat , has asserted that Cerdán has not resigned from his position as a member of Congress to "block justice" and "destroy evidence."
In a message on the social network X, the Popular Party leader stated that the former number three of the PSOE "is up to his neck in the air, like his master, his predecessor and his accomplices" , linking the Socialist general secretary and president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez , and the former Minister of Transport, José Luis Ábalos, with the alleged rigging of public contracts for which Cerdán is accused.
"Santos Cerdán isn't resigning his position to block justice and clean up his house, like a good mobster . He may destroy evidence, but he can no longer erase the crimes," the PP MEP maintained in her message.
