Martín Menem affirmed that there will be an alliance with the PRO party in Buenos Aires: "We will go together."

Martín Menem affirmed that there will be an alliance with the PRO party in Buenos Aires: "We will go together."

The Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem , stated that La Libertad Avanza and the PRO will compete together in the province of Buenos Aires . In a television interview, he emphasized that " we're going to run together with the PRO ," and explained that they are already working to consolidate that space. According to the representative, the objective is clear: " to beat Kirchnerism ," a force he accused of refusing to relinquish its last bastions of power.

"We're going to put it behind us. We're going to remove them from their last remaining position," Menem declared, referring to the influence of Peronism in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. He explained that the formation of this coalition will be defined at a political dialogue table and asserted that Karina Milei will have the "final say."

He also highlighted the support of the PRO (Nationalist Party of Venezuela) in the Chamber of Deputies during this first phase of his administration. "I am very grateful to the PRO (Nationalist Party of Venezuela) and its representatives; they have supported us throughout the year," he said in a complimentary tone.

In another part of the interview, Martín Menem highlighted the central role Karina Milei plays within the libertarian political structure. "All the outrageous things they've said about the president and Karina, she's been responding with actions. Javier Milei wouldn't even have been a national deputy without her," he stated.

The speaker of the lower house maintained that Karina Milei, the party's president, is organizing the political structure in each province with a low profile. "She has a distinct mind, with a great capacity for work. She has masterfully crafted a plan in each district to end Kirchnerism," he stated.

Regarding the opposition's attempt to address projects related to retirees , such as increased pensions and a new moratorium, Martín Menem was blunt. He stated that this strategy aims to "attack the heart of our program, which is economic stability ."

He said that Kirchnerism is seeking to "undermine fiscal balance" to dismantle what, according to him, has been built. "The dollar is not news; country risk is no longer news. That gives us competitiveness heading into October," he emphasized.

He also took aim at the rhetoric of some opposition legislators. "They talk as if they have the solution, and they've governed for 16 of the last 20 years. They caused retirees to lose 35% of their income, and now they're posing as if they're glum. It's shameful," he criticized, in direct reference to the previous government.

In closing, he analyzed La Libertad Avanza 's electoral performance in different parts of the country. "We won in Rosario, Buenos Aires City, Resistencia, Jujuy, and Salta. In the city, we were ahead of PRO . The people have already made their decision," he concluded.
