Polish AI is starting to compete with solutions from overseas. It has an undeniable advantage

Bielik AI is a large language model, a tool similar to those that power ChatGPT. It is being worked on by around 3,000 enthusiasts. They are developing it after hours. The model can be tested thanks to an application available on the Internet, it has already handled over a million chat conversations. Bielik can also be downloaded to your own infrastructure. That is why it has also started to find applications in business.

How to use the Bielik Polish language model in your own company?

- Bielik is used to work with text, so it can be used wherever we create content. Bielik can be very good at creating and analyzing text, regardless of whether it is an online comment, an article, or documentation - says Sebastian Kondracki, co-creator of the project, in an interview with WNP. He adds that the model can also be used to analyze sensitive data.

It is very good where there are sensitive data and secrets, for example attorney-client privilege, bank secrecy, or medical confidentiality.

Kondracki points out that the model is open-licensed, meaning that it can be used even for commercial purposes for free. "That's a real differentiator in this commercial world," he admits.

Any company can implement Bielik on its own. It can also use the help of companies that are being created around the ecosystem – for enthusiasts who create the model for free, consulting becomes a form of return on this investment.

Bielik works in banks, the administration is also testing it

Where can you already find Bielik in operation? - Almost every bank uses Bielik - says Kondracki. - They no longer use American models, as they did at the beginning when the GPT revolution broke out. Bielik is cheaper because they can run it on their own infrastructure. There are a few implementations in the public sector. For example, offices use Bielik when analyzing contracts - explains the WNP interlocutor. He also adds that in many companies Bielik analyzes comments.

- Bielik is better at this than commercial models, because closed models can refuse to analyze, for example, offensive text that contains, for example, vulgarities. And Bielik, because we run it in our own organization, has no filters - the expert argues.

Kondracki also explains whether, in his opinion, we will commonly use Polish language models in the future. - Where there are regulations, where linguistic nuances and cultural context are important, small models will win - he points out. He also adds that Bielik can be adapted to your own needs. - You can download it, fine-tune it, train it to your knowledge. This is how you gain a competitive advantage.
