They will search for ice on the surface of the Moon

MIAMI (EFE).— NASA has tasked Blue Origin's Viper rover with searching for volatile resources, such as ice, and collecting scientific data at the Moon's south pole to support future missions to that satellite and Mars.
The awarding of this task to the Volatiles Polar Exploration Rover, at a cost of $190 million, is part of the Commercial Lunar Payload Services program.
The rover is scheduled for delivery in late 2027 and will be delivered with a second Blue Moon MK1 lander, currently in production.
“NASA is leading the world in exploring more of the Moon than ever before, and this delivery is just one of the many ways we’re leveraging American industry to support a long-term presence on the lunar surface,” said Sean Duffy, acting NASA administrator.
