Braves rally again to take second win of the series against Saraperos with extra-inning home run

In another close game with constant changes on the scoreboard, the Saraperos de Saltillo were defeated 6-4 by the Bravos de León in eleven innings during the second game of the series at Domingo Santana Stadium. The loss represents the second consecutive loss for the Saltillo team, which was on a winning streak and now looks to maintain its position in the fight for the qualifying spots in the Northern Zone.
Right-hander Manny Barreda opened for Saltillo, working efficiently through the first six innings, allowing just one run and maintaining control over the home team's offense. The Braves , meanwhile, utilized a pitching staff that managed to hold the Green offense back during key innings, allowing them to stay in the game despite trailing.
The Saraperos took the lead in the first inning when JP Martínez scored on a Bobby Bradley single. Later, in the top of the fourth, Jonathan Araúz 's double brought in Missael Rivera to extend the lead to 2-0.

The Braves ' comeback began in the bottom of the sixth with a solo home run by Jimmy Kerrigan . Despite the blow, the visitors maintained control and extended their lead in the top of the seventh with a pair of runs: first, a sacrifice fly by Renato Núñez allowed Brandon Villarreal to reach home, and then, a single by Missael Rivera drove in JP Martínez (4-1).
However, the Braves responded immediately. In the bottom of the seventh, Michael Robles hit a two-run double that brought the home team within 4-3. Although Robles was thrown out trying to reach third, the threat was made.
The tie came in the bottom of the ninth when Danny Ortiz hit a double that drove in Roberto Castro from second base. In extra innings, León took advantage of another opportunity: in the bottom of the eleventh inning, Danny Ortiz came through again with a home run to left-center field, bringing in Angelo Castellano and leaving the score 6-4 in favor of the Braves .
With this latest loss, Saraperos is forced to seek a win in the third game of the series to avoid a sweep and maintain their position in the playoffs. The final match is scheduled for this Thursday at 7:30 p.m., again in León .
