Carlos Alcaraz on his techniques for unwinding from tennis: "I eat a hamburger before or after a tournament."

At just 22 years old, Carlos Alcaraz has already won five Grand Slam titles and is a leading figure both on and off the court. His naturalness and self-confidence, as well as his ability to switch off, are some of his defining characteristics. The Murcian has spoken about social media, his way of not thinking about tennis all the time, and his relationship with Sinner in an interview with the Financial Times.
The Spaniard spoke about how he maintains a balance between tennis and his personal life: "If you play every day and don't take a break to disconnect, that excitement fades. That's why I always try to find moments of fun, of enthusiasm, of living. I eat a hamburger before, during, or after a tournament. I always allow myself some dessert, some chocolate; that's no problem for me."
"My mom's cooking is always the best, and I drink champagne and Coca-Cola , which I don't do during tournaments, and I don't overindulge in it, of course," she continues, explaining about the little treats she indulges in.
The Murcian also spoke about the impact social media has on him and the downside: "I use social media a lot, and it's not a very good environment, not to say horrible. It's become a very important tool for work, but on a personal level, it's a very ugly world. In the end, nothing there is real."
"People show a life that isn't really theirs, a side that isn't theirs. Beyond that, there are many people who can hurt you with a simple comment. There's no worse weapon than words," Alcaraz concludes.
