Did Jhon Durán explode in the Colombia locker room? Possible fight with Néstor Lorenzo revealed; players deny it.

The Colombian national team didn't perform as expected this Friday against Peru , drawing 0-0 with a sense of defeat at the Roberto Meléndez Metropolitan Stadium in Barranquilla. Jhon Durán was one of those singled out after the match, and press reports reported a heated argument in the locker room.
Durán was a starter for the national team , but he seemed very nervous on the field. He had wet gunpowder, was impatient, and argued more with his teammates than with Peru 's center backs.

The 21-year-old player criticized every decision his teammates made on the field. First, he complained to Juan Camilo "El Cucho" Hernández , then he complained to the coaching staff and was left feeling uncomfortable.
Minutes after the end of the match, journalist Paolo Arenas revealed on his official X account that Durán had a heated argument with coach Néstor Lorenzo and several of his teammates, who tried to stop him.
The story goes that he entered the locker room in a rage. Lorenzo tried to calm him down, but the forward grabbed him by the shirt. James Rodríguez and Jefferson Lerma reportedly intervened to stop him.

"Durán entered the locker room, insulting and attacking his teammates. Lorenzo then entered and tried to calm the situation, but Durán himself grabbed him by the shirt and shook him. James and Lerma quickly intervened. The number 10 fell to the ground, while Lerma stopped the number 9," he said.
The Al Nassr striker was replaced by Lorenzo at the start of the second half by Luis Suárez. He was also not among the substitutes or players who didn't play the full 90 minutes at the end of the match.
Durán and Lorenzo deny everything Coach Néstor Lorenzo clarified in the mixed zone that the rumors that arose after the draw are damaging to the team and are "inventions" by people with "ill intentions."
"I can't believe there's so much malice, so much ill will, and so much malice, inventing things that don't exist at all. Absolutely nothing happened; the group is fine, it's strong. We didn't play well, criticize the game. We lacked intensity, we lacked pressure, we couldn't overcome a team that defended well, but nothing more, nothing happened," the Argentine said.
The coach added that the striker came off at halftime due to a physical problem: "Durán came off with back pain, but don't make things up. When they told me what happened, that I fought with Durán and that other teammates separated me, it's outrageous. It makes me sad that there are such bad people, and that it hurts."
Jhon Jáder Durán also did not remain silent and sent a forceful message to the journalist: "Tell the person who said that to have the courage to come out and say it's a lie, to show me a video."
When addressing the media, he repeatedly reiterated that there was no fight in the locker room. "These things don't happen. We Colombians, whenever we're in a bad moment, we do things that I don't see the reason for. We're in a bad moment, but we haven't gotten that far either."

The Colombian national team players were asked in the mixed zone about the rumors circulating about a possible fight, but they all denied it. James Rodríguez stated that the information was "false."

"Fighting with whom? That's completely false. What they're saying isn't true. We all need to stand together and stop causing so much crap. There's anger, we're on a bad streak, but we're here to face it," said the national team captain.
Jefferson Lerma, who, according to reports, was the person who arrested Durán , said that nothing happened in the locker room and denied the report. "Nothing happened there... There's a healthy atmosphere," explained the Crystal Palace player.
Luis Suárez also addressed the controversy and left a message as he left the Metropolitano Stadium. "We're strong," said the Almería player.
