CE Sabadell and SD Eibar B drew 1-1 in a two-part first leg. The Catalans took the lead from the penalty spot thanks to Rubén Martínez, but were unable to hold on to their advantage. In the 90th minute, young Sarasketa (18) salvaged the tie with a right-footed shot that leveled the tie before the final whistle at Ipurua.
With the aggregate score tied, Eibar B has a double advantage: they are playing at home in the second leg, and if the aggregate score remains tied after extra time, they will advance, having finished higher in the regular season. Sabadell, therefore, must win or score more than one goal if they want to continue their promotion hopes.
The match between SD Eibar "B" and CE Sabadell FC will be played on Sunday, May 18 at 12:00 p.m.
The second leg matches of this first round of the promotion playoff will be played between Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18. In the event of a tie at the end of extra time, the team with the highest position in the regular season will qualify, with no penalties required.
