Gabriel Milito arrives in Guadalajara to lead the Flock

Gabriel Milito arrived in Guadalajara this Sunday to take over as Chivas' technical director and expressed his desire to begin a new era.
"I'm very happy to be here and eager to get to work. Let's hope it's a great story," the Argentine coach declared upon his arrival at the Guadalajara airport.
Milito, 44, departed Buenos Aires on Saturday night and, after a stopover in the country's capital, landed in Jalisco, where he will join the Rebaño Sagrado preseason in the coming days.
Milito will begin working with his new players today, when he will join the Rojiblanca preseason that began last Wednesday.
The Rebaño board took several weeks to decide on its new coach, following the dismissal of Gerardo Espinoza on April 21.
In the previous tournament, Chivas were left out of the play-in zone and will now look to regain prominence with a new project.
He'll have to rescue a group of talented players like José Rangel, Roberto Alvarado, and Luis Romo, as well as Javier Hernández, the Mexican national team's all-time leading scorer; the same goes for Alan Pulido and Erick Gutiérrez, who played in Europe for several years.
His mission will be to return Guadalajara to the top of the Liga MX. The team hasn't won a championship since 2017.— EFE
