To become a millionaire, you need to combine a series of characteristics that reflect your mindset, habits, social behavior, and financial discipline , all of which together make it possible to achieve wealth. To achieve this, perseverance and strategic thinking are essential. Do you possess these qualities? These are the six signs you should look out for.

Calendar founder Juan Rampton wrote a guide for those who want to be millionaires but aren't sure they have the necessary traits.

In Entrepreneur magazine, he compiled a list of some of the key characteristics of those who have the potential to become wealthy, even if they don't know it yet.

1. You are concerned about generating generational wealth

You're thinking not only about your own financial security, but also about the well-being and economic future of your family. To build wealth that transcends generations, it's essential to establish a solid financial foundation for those who come after you. Rampton mentions stocks, real estate, and bonds, creating a trust and a will, and educating your heirs about financial literacy to ensure inheritances are managed properly and continue to grow.

2. He is frank and doesn't care who knows it

In a world obsessed with appearances and status symbols, it's common to try to project an image of wealth. However, true abundance is often accompanied by a sense of inner freedom. Millionaires tend to worry less about fitting in and feel comfortable expressing themselves authentically. 3. Know how to maximize your strengths. "I'm bad at 99% of things, but I fully dedicate myself to the 1% I'm good at." This doesn't mean you should ignore learning or developing new or weak skills; rather, millionaires know how to capitalize on their greatest strengths and surround themselves with people who complement their weaker areas.

4. You can live below your means

Another common trait among millionaires is that they tend to maintain a modest lifestyle. Instead of flaunting their wealth, many drive practical vehicles, live in simple homes, and avoid spending on unnecessary luxuries. Rampton mentions that at least 50% of their income is deposited into a savings account for investments, which generate greater returns over the long term.

Healthy habits are the key

5. You can drink, but not smoke. Men who consume alcohol earn 21% more than those who abstain, and women who drink earn 8% more than those who don't. This could be related to the increase in social capital that moderate consumption can generate, according to a study published in 2006.

On the other hand, millionaires tend to avoid smoking, according to 2004 research . Over the long term, cigarette spending adds up: The net worth of nonsmokers is typically about 50% higher than that of occasional smokers and more than double that of regular smokers.

6. He is optimistic:

It's also a way to build good habits with a calm, yet joyful, mindset. People with the potential to accumulate millions don't tend to complain or blame others. Instead, they embrace challenges and actively seek solutions to overcome them. As T. Harv Eker says in his book Secrets of the Millionaire Mindset: "Rich people believe, 'I create my life.'" "Poor people believe, 'Life happens to me.'"
