How much do low-cost airlines charge for hand luggage? These are the fares for Ryanair, EasyJet, Vueling, and other airlines.

When planning a trip, we have to consider all the additional costs, which are increasing all the time. This includes the price of carrying on luggage when we fly, as low-cost airlines usually charge for this service. In fact, some airlines' fares can reach up to 163 euros for a single piece of carry-on luggage .

Vueling

In the case of Vueling, the company only allows one free item measuring 40 x 20 x 30 centimeters, which must be placed under the seat in front of you without protruding or creating an obstacle when passing.

To take a suitcase measuring 55 x 40 x 20 centimeters and weighing up to 10 kilos in the cabin, you'll need to purchase the Fly or Fly Grande fares, which include this option. If you choose another fare, you'll have to pay a supplement for that piece of luggage: from 10 to 59 euros on the website and in the app, and from 45 to 75 euros at the airport . Premium customers, people with special needs, or those traveling with a baby can also take a carry-on suitcase in the cabin at no additional cost.

Ryanair

Ryanair allows one small piece of luggage measuring 40 x 20 x 25 centimeters at no extra cost. However, customers who purchase Priority service can bring a second piece of luggage weighing up to 10 kg and can board via a priority queue. This service costs between €6 and €36 online and between €20 and €60 at the airport.

Additionally, we can also add a carry-on bag independently of this service. Prices range from €9.49 to €44.99 online, and from €23.99 to €44.99 at the airport.

EasyJet

With easyJet, you're allowed one small piece of luggage measuring up to 45 x 36 x 20 centimeters, including handles and wheels. It must fit under the seat in front of you and weigh less than 15 kilos. Passengers wishing to bring a larger piece of hand luggage (maximum 56 x 45 x 25 centimeters ) must purchase the Inclusive Plus fare or be an easyJet Plus member. Alternatively, you can add a second piece of luggage directly when purchasing your ticket, starting at €7.99 .

Volotea

With Volotea, you can carry a free carry-on bag measuring 40 x 30 x 20 cm under the seat in front of you. Only those who purchase the Priority service (from €9) or are Megavolotea or Megavolotea Plus members can also carry a 10 kg suitcase measuring 55 x 40 x 20 cm.

Norwegian

Norwegian allows all passengers to carry one small piece of baggage (maximum 10 kg and 30 x 20 x 38 cm) under the seat in front of them. LowFare+ and Flex fares also include one bag measuring 55 x 40 x 23 cm in the overhead compartment, with a maximum combined weight of 10 kg. Without these fares, the price for adding a carry-on bag is €12.90 for domestic flights and €14.90 to €27.90 for international flights.

Wizzair

With Transavia, you can bring one piece of hand luggage measuring 40 x 30 x 20 cm free of charge, which must fit under the seat in front of you. To bring more luggage (a suitcase measuring 55 x 40 x 23 cm and weighing a maximum of 10 kg), you'll need to purchase the Priority service or pay a supplement of between €15 and €163.
