How much do tickets cost to fly to Argentina during the 2025 winter holidays?

Winter break 2025 is on the very near horizon: in the City and Province of Buenos Aires, it begins on Monday, July 21 (or Friday, July 18, when school leaves, depending on how you want to look at it) and runs through the weekend of August 2 and 3.
That is, there is less than a month left until the holidays in this area (it should be noted that some provinces start on the 7th and others on the 14th).
And there are surely many who have had everything organized for months, but there are also many who are just now starting to think about what to do.
In this context, we searched for airfares to travel to popular destinations in Argentina.
Aerolíneas Argentinas recently presented its special schedule for July, with more than 330 daily departures . "The total offering will exceed 1.4 million available seats, a figure on par with the 2024 season," the company stated, clarifying that until June 30, they are offering domestic tickets in up to 12 interest-free installments with major banks and credit cards.
It's worth clarifying that the search was conducted between Thursday, June 19th and Sunday, June 22nd, and that fares change constantly based on supply and demand . It's also important to pay attention to the departure and return airports —the system displays options from both Aeroparque and Ezeiza—and the fare type and what's included (or not included), as well as whether the flight is direct or has a stopover.
One of Patagonia's top destinations in winter and summer alike. For this winter season, the Tourism Agency announced that there will be fixed rates —for example, the Cerro Catedral climb remains at 115,000 pesos, the same as in winter 2024—and discounts of up to 40% at participating hotel and restaurant providers. The campaign is called Bariloche Sale.

Back to our point: Aerolíneas Argentinas' website offers tickets for short breaks from July 18th to 21st for $206,996 (one Base ticket with carry-on and one Promo ticket, which doesn't include baggage), or $229,183 (all Base). From July 18th to 25th, the fare we found is $287,311 (Base), from the 18th to the 24th it's $235,752 (Base), and from July 27th to August 1st, $283,747 (Base).
The Iguazú Falls , part of Iguazú National Park in Misiones, are a classic vacation and getaway destination year-round. A visit to the park, with its footbridges, Devil's Throat, and jungle beauty, can be combined with other attractions in the area and the region, which will determine the number of days you spend at the destination.
At the Despegar agency, JetSmart tickets are available from July 18 to 22 for between $295,241 and $310,520. Prices vary depending on schedules, airports, and baggage allowances, as some fares include carry-on while others do not.

On the same website and for the same date, Aerolíneas Argentinas tickets start at $395,690 (one-way with carry-on and checked baggage; return with carry-on only).
If we search for the last weekend of the holidays, from July 31 to August 3, on the Aerolíneas website we find fares from $ 276,403.10 (combining one-way Promo and return Base, plus departure from Ezeiza and return to Aeroparque) or $ 299,000 (both legs in Base, which allows one carry-on).
Northwest Argentina is another traditional winter vacation destination . Some people take advantage of the two weeks to embark on a road trip, with several stops and the option of using their own vehicle throughout the journey.

For those planning to fly there and back, we first looked for tickets from Buenos Aires to Salta with a return flight from San Salvador de Jujuy, from July 20th to 27th. Aerolíneas's flight listings for that date cost over $600,000 round-trip. By the second week, they drop to $560,000. Two weeks later, outside of the mid-August holiday season, the same ticket costs from $241,000. And from August 18th to 25th, it costs from $186,000.
A clear example of the importance of purchasing in advance and the enormous advantage of traveling outside of peak season .
A round-trip ticket to Salta with JetSmart, from July 22 to 29, costs $362,756, without luggage (only backpack) and departing from Ezeiza with return to Aeroparque.
A round-trip ticket to Jujuy with Flybondi from July 26 to August 1 costs $360,000 without luggage. From August 4 to 11, the week following winter break, the same ticket costs $118,000.
An ideal destination for both a short getaway or a longer stay , with the possibility of finding entertainment for everyone, from winery fans to those who want to do some snow or enjoy the scenery .
