Neither France nor Italy: this is one of the countries where tourists will travel the most this summer.

Over the next few weeks Millions of tourists will be enjoying their summer vacations, and while some may be looking to explore unknown and less crowded places , some countries stand out for the huge tourist influx they receive during the summer season. Spain, Italy, and France attract the attention of countless travelers from around the world, as a study has shown.
The company GuruWalk, specializing in free tours, has compiled a report based on the number of reservations made through its website for this 2025 summer season, and the results shed considerable light on the world's most sought-after destinations for the summer weeks. The report also included the countries with the highest "emission" of tourists from around the world, and confirmed that Spain is one of the most visited destinations for yet another year.
Spain is one of the most booked destinations in summer
Italy leads the ranking, the top choice for tourists from up to 16 countries, including France, the United States, and the United Kingdom, among many others. In second place is Spain, the preferred choice for travelers from six nations, including Italy, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay. It's also the favorite place for Spaniards to visit in the summer, so many domestic tourists won't be traveling abroad in the coming weeks.
In total, Spain ranks among the top three most booked destinations in up to 24 countries, making it one of the most popular destinations for this summer season. The reality is that coastal enclaves like the Costa del Sol and the Balearic Islands, as well as major Spanish cities, such as Madrid and Barcelona, attract a lot of attention from both foreign and domestic tourists.

GuruWalk also highlights that the United Kingdom is gaining ground in the tourism market, taking third place and becoming one of the most popular choices among travelers from more than a dozen countries, including Spain, the United States, Argentina, and Chile. France appears in the Top 3 in the same number of countries, although only Irish tourists prioritize the jewels of Paris and the rest of France's treasures.
The company's study also highlights that there are certain somewhat unusual destinations that are very popular with adventurers from certain countries: for example, Uzbekistan is the second most booked destination by travelers from Belgium, while those from Japan are eager to visit Croatia, as it is the most popular. Additionally, Vietnam will welcome many tourists from China and Singapore this summer.
