2025 Brevet results: the first results revealed, all dates and times by academy

The results of the 2025 brevet exams began to be released this Monday. This Tuesday, July 8, 2025, many academies will also deliver their verdicts, but at different times.
Yes. In addition to the certificate or diploma, each student and candidate for the 2025 brevet can obtain an official transcript upon request. This document provides information on the grades obtained in the final exams, the common core skills, and the overall average.
In the event of a discrepancy (for example, missing information, incorrect status), you must immediately alert the college administration or the academy's examinations department. They are the ones who have the official consolidated version.
Half of the Brevet diploma is based on continuous assessment of the common core of knowledge, skills, and culture. This core is assessed by the teaching team, based on eight components (written expression, calculation, humanistic culture, etc.). Students must demonstrate a sufficient level in each to pass. This assessment is visible in the detailed transcripts.
Yes, but only if the student is registered for regulated exams validated by the National Education system. Institutions such as the CNED (National Education Authority) have access to their candidates' results via Cyclades or by mail from the education authority.
Yes, upon publication, students can obtain a provisional certificate of achievement (in academies that offer it) for registrations, competitive exams, or applications. This certificate is often downloadable via Cyclades. In the absence of a digital version, a manual certificate may be issued by the college for the 2025 brevet results.
Results are only displayed at the original school, the one where the student was registered for the exam. If you move, it is recommended to check your brevet results online or contact your old school.
Brevet results published online in the media, such as on Linternaute, or posted in institutions are for informational purposes only. The official document remains the diploma issued by the National Education system. In case of doubt or dispute, only this diploma is valid. Academic websites, although official, cannot replace the paper diploma.
Some high school merit scholarship programs, particularly in academies, take into account the achievement of the brevet with honors. Payment is not automatic: families must apply for it as part of the high school scholarship program, then provide proof once the diploma is received.
The absence of a name may be due to an objection to the publication of their 2025 brevet results, a data entry error, an unjustified absence from a test, or an incomplete file. In all cases, if the student is certain that they have passed all the tests, and they do not appear on Cyclades, they should contact their college's secretariat or the education authority's examinations department.
Academy websites may become overloaded in the first few hours after they go live. It's recommended to try again at regular intervals, use a computer rather than a mobile phone, or visit the school where results are posted on administrative notice boards. Results are not transmitted by phone. However, remember that the lists of successful candidates and their grades are available from this page and our search engine. The only drawback is that you won't have access to grades.

The results of the 2025 national brevet diploma are released according to a specific schedule, decided by each academy. This results map provides one-click access to an academy's results page. This map is colored according to provisional success rates, visible upon hovering over it, based on data provided by the Ministry of Education. Please note: results for vocational programs are received before general programs.
The brevet is graded out of a total of 800 points, combining continuous assessment and end-of-year exams. A minimum average score is required to obtain the diploma, which is a minimum of 400 points. Continuous assessment is taken into account in the grading, but only for 50% of the final grade for the 2025 brevet. The end-of-year exams will also count for 50% of the 2025 brevet.
The final exams for the brevet des collèges represent 50% of the total exam scale each year, marked out of 400 points. There are four written exams: French and math are marked out of 100, while history-geography and science are assessed out of 50. An oral exam marked out of 100 completes the exam. The latter consists of a 15-minute presentation divided into two parts: a 5-minute presentation of a project worked on during the year and a 10-minute interview with the jury. The project presented was worked on during interdisciplinary practical courses or the third-year internship in a company.
The three mentions of the secondary school certificate correspond to different levels of points obtained above the average of 400 points out of 800:
- Fairly good : more than 480 points
- Honors : more than 560 points
- Very good : more than 640 points
There are also "regional language", "college series, international option" and "Franco-German option" options. More information on this subject can be found on the website of ONISEP , the National Office for Information on Education and Professions, a public institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Education.
The results of the secondary school certificate in FranceLast year, the success rate was 85.6%. Specifically, in the general series, the success rate was 86.8% and in the vocational series, 75.1%. These figures were a significant decrease compared to the previous year, by 3.5 points.
Before the previous edition of the brevet, rectors practiced "academic correction," which truncated students' true grades and the examiners' assessment. In concrete terms, they had the ability to inflate the average grade of students in their academy to increase the brevet pass rate. This year, this was no longer possible, so the juries had the final say on the exams.
Year | Brevet success rate - General series (%) | Brevet success rate - Professional series (%) |
---|---|---|
2018 | 88.1 | 78.2 |
2019 | 87.5 | 76.1 |
2020 | 91.4 | 83.6 |
2021 | 89.0 | 77.5 |
2022 | 88.7 | 76.4 |
2023 | 90.3 | 78.1 |
2024 | 86.8 | 75.1 |
All academies are aiming for a higher success rate than in previous years, but the results of the National Brevet Diploma do not increase linearly from year to year. There is also a clear difference in success between candidates for the general Brevet series and those for the vocational series.
