Following the storms that hit southwest France on the night of June 13-14, 17,000 homes were left without power. As of Monday morning, June 16, fewer than 100 homes were still affected in four municipalities.

Power outages, linked to incidents on the electricity transmission network (RTE) in Cubnezais, in Gironde, occurred during the night of June 13 to 14 due to thunderstorms, the Dordogne prefecture indicated in a press release on the morning of June 14.

At the height of the storm, 17,000 households in the Périgord region were affected by the outage. "RTE and Enedis teams are working to restore power throughout the department as quickly as possible," the prefecture assured.

As of Monday morning, June 16, fewer than a hundred homes were still affected by these outages, Enedis reported. The affected homes are located in four municipalities: Beleymas, Sanilhac, Cendrieux, and Saint-Michel-de-Villadeix. Teams are on site, and everything should return to normal later today, Enedis confirmed.
