According to reports from BFM Marseille, a 90-year-old woman was violently attacked at her home in Marseille on Sunday, July 6.
The retiree was doing a crossword puzzle at home when she heard her apartment doorbell ring. It was almost 2 p.m. when she opened the door to find two men standing in front of her. The two men entered her home. One of them grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened the nonagenarian. The victim was then strangled, then doused with water and manhandled. Her home was searched, and jewelry was stolen. The attackers subsequently fled.
The victim, who was suffering from shock, was treated by firefighters on the scene. A judicial investigation has also been opened to find the two suspects.
