A caustic and disillusioned investigator sets out to find a missing pop star in a colorful world.
The flashy and over-the-top illustrations of "Florimonde and the Coquillette Affair" are perfectly in keeping with the tone of the text. (Ed l'Agrume)

Do you remember Nestor Burma, on France 2? A detective, a plethora of investigations, but above all a voiceover, that warm and enveloping timbre that added to the ambient mystery. Keep the principle in mind, but transpose it to Le Havre, with an investigator with a siskin as big as her pink boots, answering to the orders of a barnacle with suspenders and having to make her way through a horde of weeping mussels. Do you get it?

The investigator is Florimonde. A yellow raincoat, a yellow cap, and this Nestorburmesque way of punctuating her investigation with her personal, caustic and disillusioned reflections. Forcibly dragged from her vacation by her superior, Commissioner Jonquet, after having downed a seafood sauerkraut, she is forced to go and provide security at the concert of a local girl, the pop star Coquillette, this scallop shell that hystericizes the crowds. Florimonde doesn't give a damn. First of all, vacations are sacred. And then, she doesn't know the singer, doesn't like noise or crowds. But Jonquet the fool doesn't leave her much choice.

The concert is supposed to start, but Coquillette is keeping her waiting. Classic for a celebrity, you might say, except that after twenty minutes, the announcement rings out in the room: Coquillette has disappeared! Terror seizes the mussels, who have come by the dozens to cheer their idol, infatuated placards in hand. Florimonde's vacation is well and truly ruined, the investigation is beckoning her. Prime suspect
