A festival to celebrate artistic diversity

On Saturday, May 24, the town of Carves, in the Périgord Noir, will host the L'Art en dit long festival, a cultural and artistic event led by people with disabilities.
Born from the commitment of the Z'Igolos artistic company and the Le Bercail medical-social establishment, the L'Art en dit long festival invites the public to discover artistic diversity from a new perspective. Led by the Apei of Périgueux, this festive and inclusive event highlights the talent and creativity of artists with disabilities.
A festival supported by ApeiProvided by the Carves town hall, five venues in the town will host original and eclectic performances: singing, theater, dance, percussion. The main street, meanwhile, will be dedicated to visual art with the exhibition of unique works. Throughout the festival, a café space (La P'tit Salle) will offer a varied program with screenings of films on dance, as well as music videos. Designed as a place for meeting and dialogue, this space invites visitors to share a friendly moment around a gourmet break. A sale of objects, accessories and products made by people with disabilities and local producers will also be offered during the day.
Dance, percussion, equifeelTo go into a little more detail about the program, the festival will begin at 2 p.m., at the small town square of Carves. There will first be a percussion show at 2:30 p.m., followed by a choir that will sing beautiful melodies in the church, the soot of the program will take place in the park with dancing. And, there will be percussion again but in the multipurpose room. Afterwards, around 4:30 p.m., the main square will host a little-known discipline: Equifeel. It is an equestrian discipline without horseback riding, based on games and fun tests on foot, with a horse or a pony. The festival will end at 7 p.m. with a large closing aperitif on the main village square.
