An international program

When asked about the lineup, Emmanuel Cappelaere, the artistic director of the Bar'EnVoix festival, is categorical: "It's stronger than last year." While Just Vox was voted in favor - "85% of the 200 people we surveyed" - to return as the opening act (Friday, June 6, 9:15 p.m.), there won't be a feeling of déjà vu, "we asked him for a new program." As proof of his interest in the festival, he managed to fit this Barisian date into a major tour with Ben Mazué.
Another big catch for the organizers: the Finnish Club for Five, a multi-award-winning band, for Saturday evening's concert (9:15 p.m.).
As for Rebel Bit, an Italian band, despite its name not suggesting it, Bar-le-Duc is on its way back from a tour of Japan. Or rather, Longeville-en-Barrois, since it's there, in front of the church, that they'll be performing for the closing concert on Sunday, June 8.
Like a cappella singing, Bar'EnVoix has a very wide vocal range and will demonstrate this with the Ensemble Ô Saturday afternoon.
Exeko, A Bocca Chiusa, and Les Chanteuses anonymes are also part of the program, expanding the lineup. They can be heard either during the off-stage concerts in Reggio Square (Friday at 6 p.m.), in front of the covered market (Saturday at 11 a.m.), and in front of the town hall (Saturday at 3 p.m.), or as the opening act for the evening concerts (Exeko on Friday, A Bocca Chiusa on Saturday, 8:45 p.m.).
