The Dragon Festival begins this Friday in Draguignan

The Dragon Festival begins this Friday in Draguignan

Entertainment, exhibitions, and concerts. The eleventh edition of the traditional Dragon Festival promises to be another eventful one, with numerous activities on offer. These activities are open to everyone, regardless of age.

" The goal is to enhance the city center. It has a beautiful heritage and we want to make it known ," insists Grégory Loew, deputy mayor responsible for participatory democracy.

And for good reason, the city's cultural heritage will be widely showcased with various sites opening their doors. These include the Observance Chapel, the Museum of Fine Arts, and the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions.

Local know-how highlighted

In keeping with the heritage of Provençal traditions, artisans, merchants, and associations will have the opportunity to share their expertise through some fifty free activities. A craft market will be held by artisans from the Arts District.

" We want everyone to find their place ," explains Christine Niccoletti, deputy mayor responsible for activities. Young and old alike will be able to discover numerous workshops on ceramics, medieval creations, and even painting.

In addition to cultural and craft events, there are other events, such as the eleven aperitif concerts spread throughout the city center, to the delight of the residents of Dracé.
