Beyoncé has been dealt a blow. USB drives containing unreleased music by the American singer, as well as concert plans, were stolen in Atlanta, Texas, police said Monday, July 14. The incident occurred on July 8, when a rental car used by Beyoncé's choreographer and a dancer was robbed. The theft occurred two days before the local leg of her "Cowboy Carter" world tour , according to a police report.
Choreographer Christopher Grant, 37, told police he parked the rental car and found it with a smashed rear window. Inside were several USB drives that "contained watermarked music, previously unreleased music, filming plans for the concert, and a list of past and future concerts," the report said.
In a statement, Atlanta police said they had issued an arrest warrant for an unnamed suspect. They added that the suspect remained at large. Investigators identified a location through which the stolen goods were believed to have been transported, thanks to the tracking of connected headphones, the Guardian reports. Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter" tour is scheduled to conclude in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the end of July. It began in April after the singer received the Grammy Awards' top award, Album of the Year, for her eighth studio album.
