Villeurbanne: activities offered from July 28 to August 3 to enjoy the summer

Starting tomorrow and continuing until August 3, the City of Villeurbanne is offering a multitude of activities to help you enjoy the summer with friends and family.
If you're not going on vacation but still want to have a good time, the City of Villeurbanne is offering various activities starting tomorrow and ending August 3rd for you to enjoy with friends and family. Other activities will also be available to Villeurbanne residents until August 30th.
From July 28th to 31st, spaces dedicated to children and young people will be organized in the Brosses district from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. An entertainment team will organize workshops and activities: dance, graffiti, media creation, etc. And for families and children under 12, a play center with various games and entertainment materials will also be available. The activity is free and requires registration directly on site.
On July 29, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Parc aux hérissons, GEM Envol&cie is offering a "Dance & Percus" workshop, an artistic and participatory creation showcasing mutual aid, hospitality, and the strength of the group, inspired by traditional Guinean music, amapiano, and hip-hop. The workshop will be led by choreographer Sabrina Allam and percussionist Sory Diabate.
Want to watch a movie? Christophe Barratier's Les Choristes will be screened on July 30th at 10 p.m. on the Esplanade de l'Europe. If you haven't seen it, Les Choristes tells the story of Clément Mathieu, a music teacher who accepts a position as a supervisor at a juvenile rehabilitation boarding school. The director's repressive system upsets Mathieu. By introducing these difficult children to music and choral singing, Mathieu succeeds in transforming their daily lives.
And if you prefer sports, join us on July 29th and 31st from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the Moulaire field, Place de la Paix and on the Sévérine football field for small group workshops to practice 3x3 basketball, archery, skateboarding, boxing, urban dance, gardening, and chess. It's free, just register by email: [email protected]
Spending an evening with your head in the stars is possible thanks to the Lyon Ampère Astronomy Club (CALA), which will be hosting a contemplative and informative evening under the celestial vault on August 1st. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., "water rocket" workshops for children, activities, solar observations, and discussions about astronomy will be organized. Then, until midnight, it's time to observe the sky using the binoculars and telescopes provided. To do this, meet at the Parc de la Commune-de-Paris. Admission is free.
