At Société Générale, the questioning of teleworking is not going down well

At the end of June, Société Générale decided to limit teleworking to one day per week, sparking a wave of internal protest. Three months later, with anger still brewing, some employees are considering leaving the company.

For years, this Société Générale employee spent hours commuting to La Défense, where the bank's offices are located. 1 hour 45 minutes there, 1 hour 45 minutes back, early departure, late return. So when the company increased teleworking in the wake of the pandemic, with two or three days depending on the team, it "changed everything," explains Alex: "It was a real breath of fresh air in my life. I was much more present for my family."
