Eco-bonus: the amount increases slightly to accelerate stagnant sales of electric cars

While electric car sales in France fell by 7.1% in the first five months of the year compared to the same period last year, the government can't hide behind the famous "market." Indeed, in Europe, they increased by 27.8%. The government therefore seems to want to regain control of purchase subsidies, which it has drastically reduced over the past four years. On the amount side, from July 1st, the ecological bonus increases from 4,000 euros today to 4,200 euros for the first five deciles of the population (less than 16,300 euros per tax share). For deciles 6 to 8 (less than 26,200 euros per tax share), it increases from 3,000 to 4,200 euros "depending on the composition of households," Bercy added during a telephone briefing this Friday, June 27th, without giving further details.
