Donald Trump has a tenacious grudge. During his first term , the American president already kept European states in his sights and judged the trade balance between the two sides of the Atlantic to be unbalanced. "The EU is a brutal trading partner towards the United States, that will change. Sometimes, in life, you have to let people breathe before it turns against you!" , he thus annoyed himself, in a message on Twitter, in April 2019.
Nearly six years later, the former real estate mogul's obsessions have not changed one iota. At the end of January, the new occupant of the White House once again raised his voice against the United States' European partners
