In Saint-Cyr, the tourist office presents new developments and projects to local stakeholders

The Tourism Meetings are aimed at all Saint-Cyr professionals whose activities are closely linked to the attractiveness and reputation of the town: hotels, restaurants, leisure activities, shops, etc. At the initiative of the tourist office, the second edition took place again at Domaine Pieracci, and brought together around a hundred participants. It was an opportunity to take stock of this sector, which is essential to the seaside resort, and to discuss other areas for improvement.

"A city's tourist appeal is not based solely on its natural assets or historical heritage; it is greatly influenced by the ability of local stakeholders to work together to create a unique and memorable visitor experience," said Deputy Mayor Michèle Vanpee in the opening remarks. The elected official praised the "considerable work carried out over several years by the office team," helping to make Saint-Cyr "a well-known and recognized destination."

Promotional campaigns, networks, statistics...

Stéphane Foulonneau, the director of the structure located in the heart of Les Lecques, which in 2024 physically welcomed nearly 43,000 people and responded to some 38,000 requests (emails, letters, etc.), presented with his colleagues the latest actions implemented and those to come, to always better promote Saint-Cyr.

After a poster campaign last year that promoted Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer even in the corridors of the Paris metro, this year a promotional campaign was rolled out in Lyon, for example, in partnership with a company of three-wheelers, "dressed" with sublime images of the bay and stamped "Saint-Cyr - Provence with your feet in the water". "The advantage is that they travel slowly in the city center and stop in nice, generally very busy places" .

Among the new features, we will note the release of a leaflet offering 11 routes for all levels to do in the west of Var on gravel (a hybrid bike between road and all-terrain), tested and approved by Cédric Tassan, a local figure and expert in the field.

For "modern and connected" tourism, the office is launching a TikTok account (@saintcyrsurmertourisme) today to "speak to the new generation, the customers of tomorrow" who tend to shun Facebook...

We will also note a new and anticipated collaboration with the artist Monsieur Z, who has created two new posters (and other variations) inspired by the Henri-Savaldor bowling alley and the Provençal market, already on sale.

On the restaurateurs' side, a reflection has been carried out to promote local products, with this slogan chosen: "Here we treat, we offer local products" . And with some obligations for those who will adhere to this communication medium, such as offering at least one Bandol wine on the menu.

It was also decided to join the Tourist Activity Observatory, which will, for example, provide accommodation providers with informative comparisons, but will also allow the tourist office, with these statistics at its disposal, to adapt its communication operations according to periods of peak or trough in attendance.

Following presentations of the town's bicentennial program (our previous editions) and the outline of the 2025 summer festivities (we'll come back to this), the guests of the Rencontres were treated to a conference on "generative AI for tourism businesses." A way of taking even more of a lead...
