This Wednesday, July 9, between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., a mosquito control operation will take place in the Mansart district, particularly on rue des Grands-Champs. The ARS (Regional Health Agency) Bourgogne-Franche-Comté has commissioned the Rhône-Alpes Interdepartmental Mosquito Control Agreement (EIRAD) to carry out this pest control operation, aimed at combating the spread of the tiger mosquito . This insect is the main vector for the transmission of chikungunya, dengue fever, and Zika fever. The objective is to prevent any spread of these diseases.

From the start of the intervention, residents must remain inside their homes or vehicles, and remain there for at least half an hour after the pest control agents have been there. Doors must be closed, pets must be kept safe, and laundry must be brought inside. Special attention must be paid to babies: it is particularly recommended not to leave their toys outside. If you grow fruits and vegetables in your garden, it is advisable to wait 48 hours before eating them.

Finally, in the hours following treatment, if you experience symptoms such as burning, coughing, dizziness or any other unusual effects, contact your doctor.
