Health. Perinatality in Lorraine: Outcry Against the Moratorium on Maternity Closures

Investigations, alarming reports, the rise in infant mortality in France, and warnings from obstetrics and gynecology professionals have all but changed the situation. On May 16, MPs voted for a three-year moratorium on maternity ward closures aimed at "fighting infant mortality." They thus cut short the debate on the difficulties that the French perinatal sector has been facing for years. Before its passage through the Senate, the text sparked a strong reaction from professionals in the sector.
