Pollution in Lyon: a slight improvement this Thursday

We're breathing a little easier this Thursday, June 26, 2025, in Lyon, with ozone concentrations notably decreasing.

The day after the hottest day of the week, the air is a little easier to breathe in Lyon. The passage of thunderstorms in the western Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and the drop in temperatures this Thursday led to a drop in ozone levels in Lyon and the greater Lyon area.

According to Atmo, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes air quality observatory, concentrations of multi-pollutants and ozone will be degraded this Thursday, while they will be average for fine particles and nitrogen dioxide.
