Quiz. Can you recognize these fish found on market stalls?

Seven out of 10 French people eat seafood at least once a week, according to the latest survey conducted by Toluna Harris Interactive for the Collectif Poissons, Coquillages et Crustaceans*, released last Thursday. These foods enjoy a positive image among consumers: 92% of them even appreciate their great diversity.
On average, 9.7 different aquatic products are consumed. Shrimp, salmon and tuna are the three most popular products, followed by cod. As for shellfish , mussels and scallops are the most popular.

Price, an increasingly decisive criterionFrench people continue to order fish from fishmongers in nearly 6 out of 10 cases, but more and more are turning to canned products (34%) and regularly buy frozen products (38%). This is not surprising: these formats are often less expensive.
Because while freshness remains the main purchasing criterion (for 74% of consumers, including 39% who make it the number 1 criterion), that of price (65%, including 18% first) continues to increase . The gap between these two criteria has narrowed by 12 points in the space of six years, in an inflationary context.
Although not always affordable, fish remains an essential part of a healthy diet. ANSES recommends eating it twice a week, varying the species and where it's sourced. The Food Safety Agency specifies that you should alternate between an oily fish high in omega-3 fatty acids and another fish.
It's still important to be able to distinguish between fatty fish and lean fish. 83% of French people claim they know how to do this. But according to the Toluna Harris Interactive survey, many of us have some gaps.
Will you be able to correctly classify the fish identified earlier? Here's a second quiz to find out.
