Asked about the shooting in Washington, D.C., in which two Israeli embassy employees were killed and the perpetrator chanted "Free Palestine," LFI MP Éric Coquerel called for "an end to the ongoing genocide in Gaza," which "unleashes hatred on all sides." These remarks particularly angered the president of the CRIF, who accused him of "cultivating anti-Semitism" by "finding a justification for the deaths of innocent people."
