2026 Municipal Elections. Brigitte Vaïsse candidate for mayor of Thionville for the first time
The former first deputy mayor under Bertrand Mertz has decided, after careful consideration and consultation, to run in the municipal elections in Thionville in March 2026. This is her first candidacy in her own name, supported by the Socialist Party.
At the beginning of May, when we asked her about her intentions for the upcoming municipal elections in 2026, Socialist Brigitte Vaïsse admitted she was still thinking. "If we can build a coherent left-wing list, with people I have complete confidence in, why not? Then the question is: do the people of Thionville really want a left-wing list?" the former prime minister wondered...
