Ain. They demonstrate in solidarity with Palestine: "To stop would be to accept what is happening."

Come hot, windy, or rainy weather, they're there. Every Saturday, Palestinian peace activists honor the 10:30 a.m. rally on the François Mitterrand Esplanade, in the heart of Bourg-en-Bresse.
"To stop would be to accept what is happening in Gaza," argues Claude Bardet, president of the France Palestine Solidarity (AFPS) association, which is behind this initiative.
This Saturday, August 9, despite the heatwave, around fifty people turned out and chanted slogans against the "genocide in Gaza," or the actions carried out by Israel since October 7. The rallies will continue without a summer break every Saturday in August, "as long as we have to bear witness and show our support," Claude Bardet adds.
At the beginning of September, the traditional meeting in front of the town hall of Bourg-en-Bresse should "be on a larger scale", hopes Claude Bardet, who is planning "a night of vigil in tribute to the victims of Gaza".
The flame of support for peace in Palestine is therefore not about to be extinguished in Bourg-en-Bresse, thanks to the will of these men and women, "activists and proud of it," breathes Claude Bardet, a Palestinian flag in hand.
