Alleged Illegal Files of Eric Ciotti: Christian Estrosi Is Outraged and Considers Taking Legal Action

The mayor of Nice spoke on BFM this Thursday evening about the allegedly illegal files of Éric Ciotti, for which the public prosecutor of Nice, Damien Martinelli, has opened a preliminary investigation into the charge of "recording or storing sensitive personal data without the consent of the persons concerned."

" If it is true that there are files where police officers are clearly identified by religious affiliation - Jews, Protestants, Christians, Muslims, Armenians, (...) - not to mention the disabled, deaf, visually impaired, (...), these practices are despicable and dangerous ," replied the mayor of Horizons de Nice to journalist Alain Marschall.

" A file of Jews, homosexuals, police officers... Imagine that these files, which would simply recall the darkest hours of our history, were a reality, where we have the duty to protect the freedom of all our fellow citizens ," Estrosi continued indignantly.

No homosexuals registered

In the lists we obtained, homosexuals are not listed. Nor are Jewish citizens.

On the other hand, the mentions "Jewish confession" or "Christian confession" appear for people linked to institutions or identified as such by the general public: priests, representatives of the CRIF, or even the Jewish consistory.

" From the moment we have confirmation from the public prosecutor's office that this is the case, we are studying the conditions under which we will take the necessary action, whether with the CNIL or with the judicial authorities, " warns Christian Estrosi.

Unusual boxes...

In the files, in any case, nothing has been left to chance by the teams of the former LR deputy, now UDR, the party he chairs, allied with the National Rally.

There are hundreds of names, addresses, and contact information. But also some very political data. And some more bizarre ones.
