Attal wants to distance himself from the right and put the legalization of surrogacy up for debate

The art of teasing his political comeback. A year after a shock dissolution that left him stunned—he still hasn't spoken with Emmanuel Macron, according to his entourage—Gabriel Attal intends to make a name for himself. After " staying at the booth" since leaving Matignon, the secretary general of Renaissance will make his voice heard again during a back-to-school campus address in front of his troops, on September 20 and 21 in Arras (Pas-de-Calais). "The challenge will be to say that a page is turning," warns a party official. To do this, there's nothing better than throwing a divisive proposal into the air: the legalization of surrogacy (GPA).
"The idea is to land on a GPA that is ethical, " explains Renaissance . "The question of financing and remuneration of surrogate mothers is obviously central." The subject should be the subject of an internal thematic convention within the party, which will be the subject of a vote by members. The former Prime Minister has already launched conventions this winter on the sovereign issue, the economy, social affairs and the environment.
