Haute-Loire. Partial Censorship of the Duplomb Law: For Opponents, "It's Not Enough"

On Thursday, August 7, the Constitutional Council, which was approached a few weeks ago by left-wing parliamentarians, issued its decision regarding the law "aimed at removing restrictions on the practice of farming," known as the Duplomb Law. As we know, the members of this institution decided to censor Article 2, which aimed to authorize acetamiprid, a pesticide from the neonicotinoid family.
This part of the legislative text was widely criticized due to the deadly impact of acetamiprid on pollinators , which led to its ban in 2018. The Sages, relying on the Environmental Charter , considered that "everyone has the right to live in a balanced environment that respects health."
And that "due to a lack of sufficient supervision," the reintroduction of acetamiprid was not possible. A petition was launched on July 10 on the National Assembly's website to call for the law to be repealed. It reached more than 2.1 million...
