In order to continue to benefit from the subsidies and support schemes of the Côte-d'Or media library, the Messigny-et-Vantoux library – La Ruche des lecteurs – previously an associative structure, is becoming a municipal authority.

At the municipal council meeting on May 26, elected officials from Messigny-et-Vantoux had to approve the takeover of the community library La Ruche des lecteurs under municipal management. "The library will continue to exist, but no longer in an associative form; it is being taken over by the municipality," summarized Mayor Françoise Gay. Majority councilor Virginie Mariage explained the reason.
