Moselle. Forbach: Câbleries Lapp has launched a production line for cables specific to the photovoltaic market.

Lapp Cable Works, located at the Forbach South Technology Park, has invested in a new production line specializing in the production of a cable specifically for connecting photovoltaic panels. Solar power plant projects are multiplying, and Lapp's ambition is to secure new markets in this growing market. The German group employs 300 people at its Moselle site.

Lapp Cables continues to expand at the Forbach South Technology Park. Since last January, a new production line has been commissioned. It produces a cable specifically for connecting photovoltaic panels together. "This new line is highly automated and integrated. It runs continuously, 24 hours a day, Monday to Friday. It allows, in a single step, to pull the cable, insulate it in two layers, put it on reels, pack it, and package it on pallets," explains Julien Mazelin, the new general manager of Lapp Cables in Forbach , who also arrived last January.
