Municipal elections in Lyon: Will Jean-Michel Aulas have to leave his position as vice-president of the FFF?

While Jean-Michel Aulas is due to formalize his candidacy for mayor of Lyon in "a few days" , his position as vice-president of the French Football Federation (FFF) is raising questions.
It's almost official. After sealing an alliance with Pierre Oliver (LR mayor of the 2nd arrondissement of Lyon) and Laurent Wauquiez on September 4 , Jean-Michel should finally formalize his candidacy for mayor of Lyon in "a few days," he promised. Yes, but here's the thing: if the former president of Olympique Lyonnais were to become head of the City of Lyon, his position as vice-president of the French Football Federation (FFF) could be compromised.
As our colleagues at L'Équipe point out, however, nothing prevents the two functions from being combined. According to Article 17 of the sports organization, "members (of the executive committee) responsible for essential executive functions cannot combine this function with those of a member of a management body of the LFP (Professional Football League), the LFA (Amateur Football League), a League, a District, a professional club or an amateur club participating in a National Championship."
While Jean-Michel Aulas could retain his position as vice-president on March 22nd if he wins, the FFF, for its part, is expected to hold talks with the future candidate soon. According to our colleagues, the FFF does not wish to give its official position at this time.
