Republican Presidency: "It's a choice between two visions of the right and its future," says candidate Laurent Wauquiez

"I found that it was a dying Macronism," said Laurent Wauquiez, president of the Republican Right group and LR presidential candidate, a guest on Les 4 Vérités on Wednesday, May 14, the day after Emmanuel Macron's speech. "Between the president yesterday, and a Prime Minister who I find above all very determined to do nothing, we still have the impression that this dying Macronism is running out of steam," he said.

"We need to prepare a project for change. The French are waiting for a project for profound change, and that's what I want to focus on," says Laurent Wauquiez. A candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, he says, facing Bruno Retailleau, he insists that this vote "is not a choice between two personalities; it's a choice between two visions of the right and its future." According to him, Bruno Retailleau, who is also a minister, is proposing "a right that, little by little, is merging with Macronism."
