Sporting a black eye, Elon Musk jokes with Donald Trump about the viral video of the Macron couple

Asked by a reporter what marital advice he could give, after a scene filmed as he exits a plane in which the French president's wife's hands are seen reaching out briskly towards her husband's face, Donald Trump first smiled: "You have to make sure the door is properly closed," he said. Then he added: " I talked to him, and he's fine, they're fine."

"I was not at all close to France"

"They're very good people, I know them very well. I don't know what happened... But I know them very well and they're fine," Trump continued.

Shortly after, Elon Musk, who was standing next to the US president in the Oval Office, also joked about the situation. The billionaire had a black eye on his right side: "I was nowhere near France," he said.

"I was having fun with little X (one of his children, editor's note), and I told him to punch me in the face. And he did. It turns out that even a five-year-old punching you in the face is... " he smiled and shrugged.

"Did X do it? X could do it, if you knew X," Donald Trump continued.

Following the video of Brigitte and Emmanuel Macron, the latter denied any "domestic scene" and claimed that this little squabble was just a "moment of complicity."
